South Korean soprano Dohyun Lee is currently pursuing vocal studies at Mainz University with Prof. Elisabeth Scholl. She graduated from Ewha Women’s University in Seoul (Prof. Jiyoung Yeo). She also attended master classes with Prof. Helmut Deutsch, Prof. Ivan Törzs and Voice Academy Hannover.

Opera performances include Taumännchen in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel (Staatstheater Mainz 2024/2025) and Mozart’s Queen od the Night in a performance of the Hochschule für Musik Mainz. Further performances include solo parts at the 5th Patron’s Concert of HfM Mainz in Kiedrich/Rheingau and at the Institut Français Mainz.

While still studying, she performed at Daegu Opera, in gala concerts at Ewha Women’s University and KBS Traditional Music Orchestra in South Korea. She was awarded several scholarships at Ewha Women’s University (2016-2018). And since 2024/25 she is member of the Junges Ensemble at Staatstheater Mainz. 2025 in spring she won the 5th singing competition for Baroque Music Heinz Frankenbach Preis at Hochschule für Musik Mainz.
