And the winner is …
On April 30th, 2023 the Hochschule für Musik Mainz hosted the final concert of 2023 Heinz Frankenbach Award.
Emilie Jønsson, soprano from Denmark, currently studying at our Hochschule, won this year’s competition. She presented a short programme about facets of love with charm and skill and convinced the jury. She was awarded the 4th Heinz Frankenbach Preis and won 1000,- € in combination with a solo baroque recital in the Hotel Frankenbach.
The audience voting was also in favour of her, the coinciding voucher for music (200,-€) being granted by Schott Music Mainz.
Finalist Johanna Christmann (soprano) was awarded a scholarship for the 2023 season of Baroque Vocal Academy next August.
